Stunning dresses with stunning backdrops
We thought it was about time we put together a list of the most stunning dresses we could find on instagram within the last month…but with one catch. They must have equally jaw dropping backdrops to match! So here is the best of the bunch. Enjoy!
We love this quirky photo and the pillarbox red, so if you see us posing around London trying to create a similar scene…you know why!
REFORMARION: If you haven’t heard of the brand yet then it’s time to join the Reformation (oh yea, that’s the name). Their limited edition collections are designed and made in downtown L.A. Everything about the brand from the heat-reflecting roof of the factory to the recycled plastic hangers is sustainable.
Next up we have the gorgeous British supermodel (and big sister to Cara Delevingne) Poppy wearing Emilia Wickstead. This image perfectly captures a playful innocence and somehow turns it into grown-up elegance effortlessly. Bravo!
EMILIA WICKSTEAD: This British based New-Zealand designer is unsurpisingly attented Central Saint Martins with all the greats, so it is fair to say we were destined to fall in love with the collection.
This photo embodies a fairytale feel. The levels of the cityscape compliment the layers of the dress and the sheer fabric and colour palette of the rustic buildings make us think we are trapped in daydream…a really good one.
It’s as if it was planned! The secret garden at Blakes Hotel in London is the perfect backdrop for a London girl like Millie’s stunning dress by designer Matthew Williamson. Taking ccoordinating to a whole new level. We are definitely taking notes!
MATTHEW WILLIAMSON: A collection of ethnic prints to die for another Central Saint Martin’s graduate shows us how it’s done!
These last two posts by Fashion Blogger Mikuta show that it is possible on a budget to look great and still keep up with the matchy matchy backdrop theme. The simplicity of the grey on grey tones just works. It just does.
Finally the last Instagram lovely we have chosen is this cute (but with a hint of trashy…in a good way) photo! This Swedish blogger knows how to do it, making sequins cool again in this very non-chalent, give a s*** kind of way.
